Voyado's loyalty data starts in the store.

Voyado is a loyalty and marketing platform for retail. Its personalization and automation depend on purchase data from both your ecommerce channel and your physical stores. We help you connect the data correctly and build the architecture around it.

Fits with

Voyado is a loyalty and marketing automation platform built specifically for retail. It tracks customer behavior, manages loyalty programs, automates triggered communications, and, through Voyado Elevate, handles product discovery and search on your ecommerce frontend. For fashion retailers, specialty stores, and multi-channel brands across the Nordics, it is the platform that connects the customer relationship across channels.

Its central requirement is data. Voyado's value depends on having a complete view of what each customer buys, online and in store. When that data is complete, loyalty mechanics work correctly, segmentation is accurate, and automated communications trigger on the right events. When it is incomplete, you get partial personalization: email campaigns based on online history only, loyalty balances that do not reflect in-store spending, and product recommendations that ignore what a customer actually buys when they walk into a shop.

This is why the POS integration matters as much as the ecommerce integration.

What Voyado Engage covers

Voyado Engage is the CRM and loyalty layer. It manages customer profiles, purchase history, loyalty point balances, reward tiers, and automated marketing flows. You build segments based on purchase behavior and customer data, then trigger campaigns, email, SMS, or on-site, based on those segments and events. A customer who has not purchased in 90 days gets a reactivation email. A customer who just hit a new loyalty tier gets a reward. A segment of high-value customers in a specific city gets early access to a new collection.

All of this depends on the customer profile being accurate. If the profile only contains online purchases, the logic is only half-informed. A loyal in-store customer who rarely buys online will appear as an inactive account rather than a high-value repeat buyer. That is a real operational risk, and it comes from a missing POS integration rather than any fault in Voyado itself.

What Voyado Elevate covers

Voyado Elevate is the product discovery layer. It handles search, navigation, and product recommendations on your ecommerce frontend. It uses behavioral and purchase data to surface relevant products: what a customer has bought before, what they have viewed, and what customers with similar profiles have purchased. The relevance of those recommendations depends on the same customer data completeness that Engage requires. A customer who buys running shoes exclusively in store will not get relevant running recommendations online if their in-store purchases are not feeding Elevate's data model.

Elevate integrates at the platform layer, into Norce, Shopify, Magento, or Shopware. We handle this as part of the platform build or integration engagement, making sure the search and recommendation layer has access to the data it needs to perform.

POS integration: why it cannot be skipped

The Voyado POS integration is not optional for retailers with physical stores. It determines whether the platform delivers on its core promise. The integration passes purchase events from the store to Voyado's customer profile in real time, or near real time, so that loyalty points accrue correctly, reactivation triggers fire at the right time, and segmentation reflects actual buying behavior across all channels.

For retailers using Sitoo as their POS, the connection between Sitoo and Voyado is a well-established path. We implement this integration as part of the broader omnichannel architecture, alongside the ecommerce platform integration, so that both sides of the customer's purchasing behavior feed into a single profile. If you are evaluating or building a Sitoo setup alongside Voyado, the Sitoo page covers how we approach that side of the implementation.

Ecommerce platform options

Voyado integrates with all four ecommerce platforms we work with. Norce has a direct and well-maintained Voyado connection, which makes it a natural choice for retailers who want a flexible commerce engine alongside a strong loyalty layer. Shopify works well for D2C brands running simpler loyalty mechanics on a fast-to-launch storefront. Shopware and Magento with Hyvä both support Voyado integration, with the right choice depending on catalogue size, market footprint, and how much customization your ecommerce layer requires.

Platform selection is the first decision. Voyado sits on top of the ecommerce platform, so the platform needs to be right first. We help you make that decision before scoping the Voyado connection.

Data model and customer identity

Customer identity management is the most common technical challenge in a Voyado implementation. Voyado builds its customer profiles around a consistent identifier, typically email or loyalty card number. The POS, the ecommerce platform, and any other system feeding Voyado need to pass the same identifier for the same customer. If the POS uses a phone number as the primary identifier and your ecommerce platform uses email, profile merging requires deliberate mapping. If a customer has historically been tracked differently in different systems, data cleaning is part of the project.

We review customer identity handling during discovery, before any integration work begins. Getting this right upstream prevents duplicate profiles, incorrect loyalty balances, and broken automation triggers downstream.

What the delivery looks like

A Voyado project at Nordic Web Team typically runs alongside a broader ecommerce delivery. We scope the Voyado integration, which systems feed it, how customer identity is handled, what Elevate connects to, and how loyalty mechanics are configured, as part of the overall architecture. The platform, the POS, and Voyado are designed as a system from the start rather than connected one at a time after go-live.

The result is a customer data layer that reflects how your customers actually shop, in store, online, and across any combination. That is the foundation for personalization that performs.

Who this is for

This fits omnichannel retailers in fashion, sport and outdoor, home and interior, and specialty retail who are building or replacing their loyalty and CRM infrastructure. It fits retailers who already run Voyado but have not completed the POS integration. It also fits retailers evaluating Voyado for the first time who want to implement it correctly alongside their ecommerce platform rather than bolt it on later.

If you are at the evaluation stage, the right conversation starts with what data you currently have, where it lives, and what it would take to unify it under a single customer profile.

Business benefits

Complete customer data, not partial data

In-store and online purchase history combined in a single Voyado profile means loyalty mechanics, segmentation, and triggered communications reflect how your customers actually shop.

Loyalty that works across channels

Points accrue from both in-store and online purchases. Rewards, tiers, and reactivation triggers all fire based on the complete customer picture, not just the online portion.

Product recommendations informed by real behavior

Voyado Elevate surfaces relevant products based on purchase history across both channels. A customer who primarily buys in store still gets relevant online recommendations.

Platform choice stays open

Voyado integrates with Norce, Shopify, Shopware, and Magento. We help you choose the platform that fits your business first, then design the Voyado connection around that choice.

One engagement across platform, POS, and loyalty

Nordic Web Team handles ecommerce platform selection, POS integration, Voyado configuration, and go-live planning as a single delivery, so the data architecture is designed as a whole from the start.

Delivery approach

Voyado integrates with ecommerce platforms including Norce, Shopify, and Magento, and connects to POS systems including Sitoo for in-store purchase data. The integration handles customer identity, purchase events, and loyalty point mechanics. A complete setup also requires data model alignment, platform selection, frontend work, and a go-live plan that covers both online and in-store operations. Nordic Web Team delivers the full scope.

Beyond the integration

The integration is only one part of the work. Platform choice, data quality, content, UX, QA, and the launch itself also need to be planned and delivered for the solution to work in practice.

1

Discovery and data audit

We review your current customer data, platform setup, and POS configuration. We map where customer identity is tracked, where the gaps are, and what the Voyado integration needs to be complete.

2

Architecture and integration design

We design the customer data flows: how purchase events move from ecommerce and POS into Voyado, how customer identity is resolved, and how Elevate connects to the ecommerce frontend.

3

Build and QA

Platform configuration, POS integration, and Voyado setup happen in parallel. We test loyalty mechanics, triggered flows, and recommendation logic before anything goes live.

4

Launch and optimisation

We plan go-live to cover both channels simultaneously. After launch, we review segmentation performance, loyalty uptake, and Elevate relevance, and refine the configuration accordingly.

FAQ

Does Voyado work without a POS integration?

It works for online-only customers, but in-store purchase history will be absent from customer profiles. For any retailer with physical stores, this limits loyalty accuracy, segmentation quality, and the relevance of triggered communications. The POS integration is not optional if you want Voyado to reflect how your customers actually shop.

What is the difference between Voyado Engage and Voyado Elevate?

Engage covers CRM, loyalty program management, and automated marketing. Elevate covers product search and discovery on your ecommerce frontend. They can run together or separately. Many retailers deploy Engage first, then add Elevate once the customer data layer is established.

Which ecommerce platforms does Voyado integrate with?

Voyado integrates with Norce, Shopify, Shopware, and Magento. The depth and maturity of those integrations varies. Norce has a particularly direct Voyado connection. We evaluate platform fit based on your overall requirements, not on which has the easiest Voyado connection.

How is customer identity handled when someone shops both in-store and online?

Voyado builds customer profiles around a consistent identifier, typically email or loyalty card number. The POS and ecommerce platform both need to pass the same identifier for the same customer. If your systems currently use different identifiers, profile mapping and data cleaning is part of the project scope.

At what point in an ecommerce project should Voyado be scoped in?

Early. Voyado's customer data requirements affect ecommerce platform configuration decisions, data model design, and POS integration scope. Scoping Voyado after the platform is built and launched typically creates rework. We include it in the initial architecture phase.
