Partnership overview
Nordic Web Team led the migration of Bread & Boxers from their previous ecommerce platform to Norce Commerce. The project was delivered together with Frntkey for headless frontend development, Junipeer for backend integrations, and Storyblok as the CMS layer.
The migration covered platform strategy, architecture planning, data migration, integration rewiring, and a phased go-live across markets.
Business context
Ecommerce accounts for roughly half of Bread & Boxers' total revenue. As the channel grew, the team needed to manage products, content, and markets more efficiently — creating, updating, and maintaining listings at a pace the previous platform could not support.
The decision to move to Norce Commerce was driven by the platform's flexibility and cost structure, combined with the ability to adopt a headless architecture that separates frontend development from the commerce engine.
Our role
Nordic Web Team acted as the primary ecommerce partner throughout the project. We defined the migration plan, coordinated the delivery across the partner ecosystem, and led platform implementation.
The frontend runs on Frntkey, a headless frontend-as-a-service product built and maintained by Nordic Web Team. Frntkey handles the frontend layer so the Bread & Boxers team can focus on commerce configuration and content rather than rebuilding standard UI infrastructure.
With Norce Commerce as the commerce engine, Frntkey as the headless frontend, and Storyblok handling content, the new setup gives Bread & Boxers significantly more control over how they develop and adapt their customer experience across markets.
