PWA is a concept developed by Google is what most consider the future of the web. It allows you to create a site that works much like an app.Some of the top companies in the world are already using technology that applies PWA, including Uber, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Starbucks and Alibaba.

The basic idea is to only need to visit a site and not install an app to get the optimal experience. Already there you should see an almost instantaneous load time and a user experience that feels as smooth as an app. Once customers add the site to their home screen, then the site can also load offline and send push notifications. Just like an app, but without downloading an app from the app store or similar. So if customers want to see products while on a flight, it would be possible to view them even without an internet connection
Since a PWA is a standalone application for displaying content, the architecture can also be called headless. It is therefore independent of other supporting systems such as Magento Commerce or other e-commerce platforms. However, it is only with the PWA that the major benefits of headless emerge.
