Briqpay offers a flexible payment solution in B2B with the goal of elevating B2B online purchases to the same experience as B2C is today. The service can be compared to modern freight vendors where the customer chooses from the available shipping options. In the same way, Briqpay allows the customer to choose from different payment options, with a focus on B2B.
"We at Briqpay have a long experience in the payment industry with a focus on e-commerce where we feel that B2B online sales are in many cases heavily neglected. We have also come to realise that 'One size doesn't fit all', with everyone selling different products, in different markets and to different industries, which increases the need for flexibility in the payment step. Giving more customers the opportunity to shop on their own terms creates more business," says Björn Widerström, CEO of Briqpay.
Before launching, thorough market research was done, Briqpay wanted to be right from the start. They found variants of what they wanted to do, but most importantly they lacked flexibility from a customer perspective and the business models were conservative. They wanted to change this.
"We are seeing an increase in demand every day. Our customers want to create freedom of choice, everyone should have the opportunity to shop. That's why different offers are needed, such as instalment payments, leasing, direct payment or invoicing. And what we've seen so far is not only generating more purchases, but reduced manual work and credit losses," says Björn.
A big advantage of Briqpay is that it can quickly bring in local payment methods when you want to enter a new country or market. Collaborations with integration partners, such as Junipeer, provide the ability to integrate to different systems to create a fully automated flow, not least the link to business systems and payment providers.
Björn continues; "The collaboration with Nordic Web Team came naturally as we have good experience from previous projects. The common goal is to be able to deliver an attractive and secure solution to all Magento users and Nordic Web Team's long experience helps us towards that goal. We have both seen a great increase in digitalization in B2B, and being able to build the conditions together to easily implement Briqpay's solution was a natural fit."
Briqpay is a young and innovative company. 2021 is the year when Briqpay will go from concept to market for real. The first customers are up and running, and all the feedback indicates that the reality matches well with the starting points they had in developing the platform.
